Terms of use

Effective October 20, 2026

The short version: the app is licensed to you through the App Store under Apple's standard terms. What you record is yours. Please keep backups of recordings that matter to you.

The app license

Cue Studio is licensed, not sold, to you under Apple'sLicensed Application End User License Agreement(the "Standard EULA"). The Standard EULA governs your use of the app. These terms add a few details specific to Cue Studio, and where they conflict, the Standard EULA wins.

Sorensen on Sound LLC ("we", "us") is solely responsible for the app and its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it.

Your recordings

Everything you record, edit, mix, and export with Cue Studio belongs to you. We claim no rights to it and never see it. You are responsible for having the rights to anything you record, such as other people's performances or copyrighted material.

Backups

Recordings are stored only on your device. Deleting the app, deleting takes, or losing or resetting your device can permanently remove them, and we have no copy to restore. Edits such as trims are written to the file itself, with undo available during your session. Keep backups of anything important, for example through iCloud Backup, your computer, or by exporting files.

Acceptable use

Don't use Cue Studio to record people where that is against the law, and follow the recording consent laws where you are. Don't reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the app except as the Standard EULA allows.

No warranty

We work hard to make Cue Studio reliable, but the app and the site are provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Sorensen on Sound LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost recordings, data, or profits, arising from your use of the app or the site. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the app.

The website

The content of getcuestudio.com, including text, graphics, and the interactive demos, is owned by Sorensen on Sound LLC. You're welcome to link to it and share it. Please don't copy the site or present it as your own.

Trademarks

Cue Studio, the Cue Studio logo, and Sørensen EQ are trademarks of Sorensen on Sound LLC. Apple, iPhone, iPad, and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc. Pro Tools is a trademark of Avid Technology, Inc. Other names mentioned belong to their owners, and their mention does not imply endorsement.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, except where the law where you live requires otherwise.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app or the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
